Telangana

Telangana is also known for famous historical sites like Charminar and Golkonda Fort and unique initiatives like providing free power to farmers.
The state boasts a rich history, cultural heritage, and vibrant traditions, visible in its festivals like Bonalu and Bathukamma, and handicrafts such as Pochampally and Gadwal sarees.
Hyderabad is its capital and a major IT hub. A mineral-rich state known for the Singareni coal mines. It was the first state to offer free power supply to farmers.

01.Birla Mandir

The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu present in the form of Sri Venkateswara.
One can find the kirtanas of Tyagaraja, Annamayya, and Ramadasu reverberating against the backdrop of a blue sky in the morning. The temple combines the architectural styles of Utkal (Oriya) and South Indian style.
The Rajagopuram represents South Indian architectural style while the tower over the main shrine also called the Jagadananda Vimanam represents the Oriyan style.
The temple also boasts of finely sculpted marbled images depicting the great epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The 42-feet high sanctum sanctorum (garbha gudi) is an impressive replica of the Venkateshwara temple at Tirumala.
Birla Mandir is located towards the southern end of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad. It situated atop the Kala Pahad which is a twin hillock of Naubat Pahad. The Birlas built the Hyderabad temple in 1976 and constructed it with white marbles imported from Rajasthan. The hillock is at a height of 280-feet situated on a 13-acre plot.

02.Charminar

Charminar was built by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591. It is said that this square shaped structure with four pillars and intricate carvings was built in honour of his wife, Bhagmati. However, the actual reason behind building Charminar is still not clear.
As per a popular belief, Charminar was built to acknowledge the elimination of the plague which had affected the entire city immensely during that era. It is believed that the Sultan had prayed for the end of this plague with which his people were suffering.
Hence, as the plague ended, he built the charminar as a tribute to Allah. The four pillars are also said to be dedicated to the first four caliphs of Islam
In the middle of the Charminar courtyard, you will find a small vazu with a small fountain, which has been built to provide water for the ablution before offering prayers.

03.Golkonda

The term "Golconda"can be broken down into two word "Golla" and "Konda" which literally translate into "Shepherds hill" in Telugu.
Hidden in these words ,lie the legend of the origin of this fort.One fine day ,a shepherd boy came across an idol on this hill and informed the Kakatiya Kng about it.
The King considering it to be a sacred site got a mud fort constructed here,This was the initial structure of the fort before the grand edifice came into existence.
The Golconda fort is believe to have built by the kakatiyas in the 13th century CE,The Structure was reinforced by Pratapa Rudra (r. 1289-1323),one of the most prominent Kakatiya rulers and the last King of the dynasty.

04.Salar_jung Museum

The Museum is a royal treat for art collectors with its 43,000 art objects and 50,000 priceless books and manuscripts.
he collections range from Indian Art, Middle Eastern Art, European Art, Far Eastern Art, Children Art etc. in addition to a founders gallery and a rare manuscript division.
The most treasured masterpiece of the museum is the “Veiled Rebecca” a marble sculpture by G B. Benzoni bought by Salar Jung I when he visited Italy in 1876.
As part of the Nizam's jewellery exhibition in 2001 and 2007, the Jacob Diamond was a major attraction at Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad. Unlike the famous Koh-i-Noor, the Jacob Diamond has changed hands only twice in the history of its existence and has not been associated with violence.
